Bringing calm, clarity and bookings for contemporary retreats on Skye

Harlosh is a pair of contemporary retreats set against the wild landscape of the Isle of Skye.

With the Harlosh identity already established, Covers returned last year to rethink the digital experience – creating a website that felt as considered as the stays themselves, while making it easier for guests to discover, plan and book.

A smoother route from discovery to booking

The process

The goal was simple: make the digital experience easier without losing the character of Harlosh.

The site was restructured around the guest journey, bringing Black h and Wood h to the front and giving the architecture, landscape and experience more room to tell the story.

Booking was the biggest functional change. Previously handled off-site, availability and reservations were brought directly into the website through Inn Style, allowing guests to check dates and book without breaking the journey.

The experience continues after booking too. Guest-only pages unlock practical details, local recommendations and curated information before arrival, while the underlying system gives Harlosh room to add new content and experiences over time.

The results

The new site feels closer to Harlosh itself: calm, considered and easy to navigate. Guests can move from discovering the retreats to booking them in one continuous journey, while the owners have a simpler system to manage and grow.

More importantly, the website does more than sell a stay. It gives guests a stronger sense of the place before they arrive – and continues the experience after booking through guest-only recommendations and practical details.

Kind words from Jason:

“Adam offers us such amazing inputs to support our business. The talented designer behind our branding, but that’s not the full story. His patience and flexibility are super supportive, yet we hugely value the breadth to his thinking to strive for the very best for our business and our guest experience. Adam responds with solutions on how to achieve these across all touchpoints from print to digital to real world. Recommendations for small details, production approaches, enhancements that all help our brand make a difference. Thank you, Adam.”
