Visualising a neighbourhood strategy for north-east London
Banbury Reservoir sits at the meeting point of industry, infrastructure and nature.
Working with We Made That, Covers developed the identity and editorial direction for a 15-minute neighbourhood strategy report, using the character of the site itself to shape the visual language.

Visualising the 15-minute neighbourhood
The process
The reservoir, surrounding landscape and industrial infrastructure became the starting point for the photography and visual direction.
The visual system was built around that contrast. A modern-style serif brought refinement and character, while a clean sans serif introduced a more functional element. Paired with a bold palette, the typography reflected the meeting of nature and infrastructure that defines Banbury Reservoir.
That identity then carried through the report, helping organise complex strategic content into something clear, visual and easy to navigate.
The results
The result was a strategy document that felt rooted in the place it was describing, rather than applied to it from the outside.
Identity, photography and editorial design worked together to make the strategy clearer, more distinctive and more connected to place.
